Vintage Design
DCW (Dining Chair Wood) chairscreated by Charles and Ray Eames around 1945.
These are second generation chairs produced by Herman Miller USA between 1950 and 1953 (the production of the DCW was discontinued between 1954 and 1994).
This matching pair has been produced just after Herman Miller took over the production from Evans Plywood. Typical for these chairs is the 5-2-4 screw arrangement and the letters “DCW” stamped beneath.
Made of plywood with ash veneer, tinted black. Original colour, they have been refinished.
