Wonderful and extremely rare set. Sling Seating benches by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller. The rows of seats were designed in 1962 by the US designer couple for the first international airports. The benches shown were initially used for decades at Düsseldorf Airport and were then used in the waiting area of a Düsseldorf doctor’s office until the end.
The set consists of two three-seater benches, one of them with a removable storage table, and an extremely rare individual armchair. The furniture is in an exceptionally good condition with slight signs of use that can be found in the extensive product photos. Both the leather of the seating surfaces and back areas as well as the solid aluminum die casting are very well preserved. The seating comfort can also be assessed as very good.
The rows of seats are ideal for the waiting area of representative medical practices and law firms as well as as a lounge furniture for the commercial or private sector.
