Vintage Design
Pierre Vandel is a French designer with international success, born in 1939. He founded his first high-end furniture workshop and then his brand “Pierre Vandel-Paris” thanks to his friend and patron Cardin. His avant-garde vision and his inventiveness that is both glamorous and minimalist seduce all over the world. Now septuagenarian Pierre Vandel continues to design new products in his cross workshop, very close to his hometown. Its creations from the 1970s are in high demand on the vintage market.
These buffets are made up of a square section frame assembled with tab cutting and encrusted in the center of a slightly behind brain bearing the signature “Pierre Vandel-Paris”.
The tops are protected by acrylic glass (a more resistant and lighter acrylic glass than mineral glass). This element trapped in the framing reveals the crush shade of the furniture.
The facade of each piece of furniture consists of two smooth doors pulled by a handle brass in triangle forming a square once the openings are combined.
The interior has a non-modular shelf, fixed halfway up the storage space.
These furniture is based on four brass feet slightly protruding at the front and simple at the back.
During his career, Pierre Vandel mainly designed tables and chairs. This rarer buffet range make them exceptional furniture and collector’s rooms.
