Vintage Design
This set of Italian 1950s chairs is generous in size and will not fail to claim a prominent role, regardless of the interior in which they are placed. The very expressive frames of cherry wood are very sharply stylized. Its design strongly reminds us of the work of Carlo Mollino for the Italian furniture manufacturer Antonio Gorgone. A bit of drama has been added to the way in which the front legs shoot into the ground, as it were, and the same counts for the rear legs. By applying different thicknesses and widths in the legs, a beautiful interplay of lines is created. By means of a guide under the armrests, it is possible to adjust the chairs back into the reclining or resting position and forward into a somewhat more active sitting position. The spacious seat and high backrest offer optimum comfort, allowing you to rest your arms well on the long armrests. These two lounge chairs guarantee a substantial addition to the Italian flair of yesteryear in a variety of settings. They have been completely restored and reupholstered in the original burgundy color and the seating comfort has been improved to a maximum as mentioned before.
