To celebrate the 118th anniversary of the Monogram de la Maison Française, created by Georges Vuitton in 1896, Louis Vuitton called on 6 world-renowned designers. Christian Louboutin, Cindy Sherman, Frank Gehry, Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Newson and Rei Kawakubo were given carte blanche to create a showcase for the “Monogram”.
German-born master stylist Karl Lagerfeld created a luxury boxing set for the brand. In an interview, he said: “I know more and more women who have taken up boxing. I thought that this activity should be practiced, if possible, in the most chic way. “That’s how I sum up the sport: staying chic in all circumstances.
The suitcase containing the boxing gloves and training mat was designed with a punching bag, storage box and kiosk. The set was available for US$175,000 and produced in a limited edition of 25.
The small booklet containing the QR code enables beginners to learn how to move correctly on the training mat, place their feet and hands and perform a few exercises.
