Fantastic matt red writing desk shelf, original paint. Together with the patina of the birch wood this piece evokes the perfect vintage atmosphere in your room. All parts are inspected, cleaned, all is solid and this item can be used right away. This piece evokes the typical sober Rietveld-like modernist vibe and would be a great addition to other Dutch midcentury pieces such as Ate van Apeldoorn furniture.
In the early days of his career, Cees Braakman went to the US and was inspired by the modernist designs introduced by Herman Miller and Knoll.
