Pair of French Louis XV style walnut bedside tables from the early 20th century. This pair of French ‘tables de chevet’ were created in the early 20th century, at a time when the country revisited the rococo style that marked the reign of King Louis XV as a means of reviving national pride and heritage. Each of these exquisite side tables features a meandering tray top framed by a three-quarter gallery. The tables are adorned with a slim dovetail drawer. Raised on four cabriolet legs, tall and slender, typical of the Louis XV period. The set is delicate and elegant, with beautiful waxed lines that will add a touch of sophistication to any room, especially a bedroom where they can be used to anchor a bed.
