Thonet chair A 462 F was designed in the 1930s. It has both a paper Thonet label and a Ligna stamp underneath the seat and therefore was likely produced in the late 40s / early 50s. Ligna was an after World War II nationalized Thonet factory.
The original colour of this chair was brown. In the 1960s/1970s it was painted red. This red paint layer has partly worn off.
